Olga Trofimtseva Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration

MINISTRY OF AGRARIAN POLICY AND FOOD OF UKRAINE

Dear exhibitors, organizers and visitors,

On behalf of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and on my own behalf, I would like to warmly welcome you all to the Ukrainian Food Technology Week, the most significant industry event in our country. It includes INPRODMASH & UPAKOVKA 2018, the main trade fair of food processing equipment and technologies, food packaging; BAKERY UKRAINE 2018 and SWEETS UKRAINE 2018, the main trade fairs for baking and confectionery industries.

Agribusiness has high potential in our country. Ukraine is one of the world’s largest exporters of sunflower oil, corn, barley, wheat, soybeans, and poultry. And what is more, it could be proud of its food processing industry that has taken the leading position among other real sector industries in terms of the sold products over the past few years.

I’m sure that the Ukrainian Food Technology Week will truly reflect the current situation in the markets of food processing equipment and technologies, food packaging; provide favourable conditions for business communication between the leading Ukrainian and foreign manufacturers and their customers; increase innovation of food processing enterprises and competitiveness of domestic food products.

I wish you all new interesting meetings, fruitful cooperation and business contacts.

Carolien Spaans Agricultural Coun Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine

EMBASSY OF THE KINGDOM OF THE NETHERLANDS IN UKRAINE

I would like to welcome all participants, organizers and visitors of the 27th International Trade Fair Inprodmash & Upakovka 2018.

This great event is a very important platform for the representatives of food processing industry not only from Ukraine but from many other countries, including the Netherlands, which are actively represented these days.

The agricultural sector, food processing and export of Ukraine are of great importance. The export to the EU is growing, new markets are being opened and higher standards are being implemented, which I believe is vital for further growth.

The Netherlands is an important trading partner of Ukraine, the largest importer of agricultural products from Ukraine in the EU.

Besides, the Netherlands as second largest exporter of agricultural products in the world has great experience of cooperating with the international partners and introducing innovations. With support from the government and research institutions, the Dutch producers have reached high productivity and knowledge how to produce more with less and keeping track of the trends in consumer demands. The Netherlands can provide long-term experience, knowledge, innovations and solutions to support the ambitions of Ukrainian companies in expanding their markets and adding higher value to their products.

Joining in the exhibition with a Holland Pavilion is the Dutch project PIB FoodTechLink who represents a group of companies in the processing industry, supported by the Dutch government. Representatives of companies who are active in Ukraine offering equipment for growing mushrooms, dairy processing and means of water purification will be at the stand. I would like to thank them all for their cooperation and initiative.

I would like to extend my gratitude to organizers of this significant event the company ACCO International, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and also to all Ukrainian and international partners and participants who make this event a success every year.

I wish you all lots of interesting meetings, newly developed partnerships and successful business activities during Inprodmash & Upakovka 2018!

Benno Grimberg Director of Grimco Trade Holland & Coordinator of PIB FoodTechLink Ukraine

GRIMCO TRADE HOLLAND PIB FOODTECHLINK UKRAINE

Dear visitors and participants,

It is generally known that the AgriFood industry is the most relevant sector for the development of Ukraine’s economy, mainly because of the growing export. In 2017 41.7% of Ukrainian export consisted of agricultural products. The EU is an important export market: the share in Ukrainian export increased by 25% in the last 3 years. In 2017 31.8% of all Ukrainian exported agricultural & food industry products went to the EU. In the 1st half of 2018 agricultural production in Ukraine grew with 11.4% compared to the 1st half of 2017. Ukraine has already become a world player in agricultural business, and shows a steady trend in growth.

Ukraine is a world player in export of sunflower oil & meal (No. 1 globally), barley, wheat, corn, rapeseed, soybeans, poultry meat, honey and walnuts, mostly commodities and/or non-processed products. Vegetables, fruit, berries, and mushrooms also have a high export potential, especially as processed and/or preserved products. The continuous challenge is to add a higher value in processing, packaging and storage technique, and introduce the EU’s practices of sustainable agriculture and systems of food safety control in a broader way. Many Ukrainian food processing companies comply with European and Global food safety standards like HACCP, BRC, IFS and GlobalGAP. Currently 235 Ukrainian enterprises have the right to export to the EU. Professional collective Ukraine branding is crucial to support their marketing and sales strategy. Most relevant is to show Ukraine as an AgriFood country at relevant exhibitions abroad.

The Netherlands is a small, densely populated country, with some 410 inhabitants per square kilometer (UA: 73/km2). Yet it’s the globe’s number two exporter of AgriFood products as measured by value, second only to the United States, which has 270 times its landmass, a clear result of continuous innovations in AgriFood value chains. The Netherlands is ranked #6 among the most innovative countries worldwide, and ranked #2 in Europe with the highest private R&D investment rate in AgriFood. We are ready to share our knowledge, innovations and experience.

That’s why we participate with a Holland Pavilion in the International Exhibition INPRODMASH & UPAKOVKA 2018. In 2017 we will participate under the banner of Partners for International Business FoodTechLink Ukraine, a Dutch Public-Private Partnership in food processing, packaging and cold storage equipment. Through this cooperation we are ready to serve the Ukrainian food processing industry in a professional and collective way. All participating companies have their own specialism and are experienced in export. They believe they can improve their performance and services by collective Dutch cooperation.

A special word of thanks to ACCO International for showing their usual spirit and drive in organizing this international meeting point in Ukraine for food processing and packaging.

Zafer Kirmizitash Managing Director of ZED EXPO, Turkey

ZED EXPO, TURKEY

Dear exhibitors and visitors,

Turkey-Ukraine diplomatic relations over 26 years are continuing to grow with effective new agreements today. Ukraine and Turkey are strategic bridges not only in Eurasia but also in Europe.

Bilateral economic, trade and investment associations are progressing very rapidly, and the economic commercial target is to reach 20 billion dollars for both countries.

We are exporting citrus fruits, weaving goods, motor vehicles, sunflower seeds to Ukraine, in return we are importing iron and steel, soya bean, animal and vegetable oils, common metals from Ukraine.

The fair organizations are also developing in Ukraine, and ACCO International company is among the oldest organization companies of the fair industry, which have been playing a successful active role in the development of the country’s commercial activities.

We, as the agency of INPRODMASH & UPAKOVKA fairs in Turkey, would point out that it is a professional meeting platform for Ukrainian packaging and food processing sectors.

We would like to thank all of the participating firms, professional visitors and the management and staff of the ACCO International company, who worked hard to realize this wonderful event.

UKRKHLIBPROM ASSOCIATION OF BREAD BAKING INDUSTRY ENTERPRISES

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of Ukrkhlibprom Association of Baking Industry Enterprises and on my own behalf, I would like to warmly welcome you all to the major food processing industry event in Ukraine, Food Technology Week 2018. As part of it, third edition of BAKERY Ukraine trade fair will be held.

The event provides a great opportunity for experts of all food industry sectors, including the baking one, to learn about the latest scientific and technical achievements.

The baking industry is now facing important challenges, i.e. bringing its regulatory framework into line with the European standards, implementing HACCP system, advanced process equipment, and energy-saving technologies.

We hope that this significant industry event will give impetus to further improvements in food production, introduction of innovative technologies and equipment to satisfy the Ukrainian market demand with a broad range of high-quality food products, as wholesome food is very important to our health.

I wish you all successful performance, exciting discoveries and useful business contacts.

Oleksandr Baldyniuk President of Ukrkondprom Association, Head of Community Board at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine

UKRKONDPROM ASSOCIATION OF MANUFACTURERS OF CONFECTIONERY, CONCENTRATE AND STARCH INDUSTRIES OF UKRAINE

Dear participants, organizers and visitors,

On behalf of Ukrkondprom Association, I would like to warmly welcome you all to SWEETS Ukraine 2018, trade fair for confectionery industry held within the Ukrainian Food Technology Week.

Confectionery industry is a key component of the agricultural sector of Ukraine and integrator of several food industry segments. Throughout the years of independence, confectionery industry due to its high potential has become one of the most export-oriented industries of the Ukrainian real economy. Highly-qualified personnel, high-quality raw materials and EU standards have formed its basis and international reputation. This is clearly reflected by the fact that Ukrainian confectionery products are currently exported to more than 60 countries.

This suggests that highly competitive products manufactured in Ukraine combined with the achievements of the best industry factories have been praised by the most demanding customers.

I’m sure that SWEETS Ukraine 2018 will strengthen market positions of the Ukrainian manufacturers, encourage them to search for new partnerships, establish successful business relationships, and enhance investment and innovation activities.

I wish exhibitors and visitors of SWEETS Ukraine 2018 exciting communication and fruitful cooperation.
